Last week, staff and residents at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center had a few reasons to have a celebration. It was Activities Professional Week and Carol’s Birthday. The facility could not do what it does with you two ladies.
Staff at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center love participating in fun national days. Recently, it was National Clothes Clashing Day and they went all out. For days like this, it brings smiles and laughter to the halls of the facility and everyone seems to enjoy them.

Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center would like to wish their Housekeeping Supervisor, Myra Hall, the best of luck in her future endeavors. Last week was her last day working at the facility after being with them for 20 years.

Special visitor, Mrs. Debbie, showed off her bracelet that resident, Earl Bellamy, made for her. Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center has met the criteria for the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living’s Quality Initiative Recognition Program. They have worked hard in their efforts to meet measurable targets and receiving this achievement shows their dedication to improving the lives of the residents.
Hazard Health and Rehabilitation is the winner of the Nursing Home Category for the Elder Abuse Awareness Christmas Tree. The contest was held by the Ky River ADD Elder Abuse Council in December. Congratulations to all who helped decorate this beautiful tree.
Residents and staff at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center rang in the new year with all sorts of fun. They toasted each other with a delicious drink, sang the night away with karaoke, and had a great time chatting with one another. Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday.
