For the 2016 float, Hazard Health & Rehabilitation Center focused on our celebration of 40 years of service to our community.
1976-2016.
The Hazard Health & Rehabilitation Center’s float paid homage to our pride in longevity in caring for the elderly of Eastern Kentucky. We borrowed the Black Gold Festival Committee’s idea to use the loving hands of our Almighty Creator cradling our great State of Kentucky. Of course, we had to include underneath the Creator’s hands, our beloved mountains in our scene. At the ending of our float, we honor our community’s 1st responders: The Kentucky State Police, The Perry Co. Sheriff’s Dept., Hazard Police Dept, Hazard & local Fire Depts., and local Paramedics and EMTs.
Thanks to our sponsors: Cardinal Automotive of Hazard, Gina couch, Greg Couch, and of course the owners and management of Hazard Health & Rehab.
Thanks to our driver, David Davis. Thanks to everyone who helped to design, build, and who helped in any way to bring this float to completion! Also thanks to the staff and their families who showed up to represent HHRC in the parade!
