Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center took part in the annual Kentucky River Area Development District (KRADD) Senior Citizens Health Fair. Our Activity Staff, Brook Hayes and Teresa White, were on hand to provide information about Hazard HRC to the senior citizen attendees and other vendors. We provided promotional items as well.
KRADD is a quasi-governmental agency that works with city and county governments throughout the state to improve the quality of life for senior citizens. KRADD supports many aging programs and services at Senior Citizens Centers. KRADD also covers 15 sites in Kentucky where hot lunches are prepared 5 days a week and meals are delivered to homes of seniors in need.
KRADD Senior Community Service Programs provides educational training and part-time employment opportunities, services to support health education for the aging population, programs for the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, etc.
It was a good day of networking, visiting with old friends, and making new ones! We are proud to be advocates of KRADD and their mission to improve and enrich the lives of senior citizens.
