October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is something we are very passionate about here at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center. In honor of this month, our staff “Pinked Out” today!

We love advocating for the mission of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which is “to help women now by providing help and inspiring hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.”

One of the leading health crises for women in the U.S. is breast cancer. Approximately 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Unfortunately, there’s currently no cure for this disease. Increased health costs make it difficult for many women to afford screening tests and treatments. The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a resource for women so they can have easier access to treatment.

All of us here at Hazard HRC want to remind all women that early diagnosis is critical to survival. Although life can be hectic, don’t forget to schedule your mammograms and take care of YOU!
